Senior Technical Product Manager
Here at Labster, we are looking for a collaborative Senior Technical Product Manager to join Labster's Product & Technology organization, reporting to our Vice President, Product. You will work closely with our Principal Product Manager to deliver exceptional VR nursing simulations that transform how students learn. Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Principal Product Manager for UbiSim to translate product vision into detailed technical requirements and execution plans.
Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of our VR nursing simulations, focusing on technical feasibility, architecture considerations, and development timelines.
Drive the day-to-day execution of product development initiatives, including sprint planning, backlog management, and technical debt prioritization.
Identify and resolve technical blockers and dependencies to ensure smooth development workflows.
Define and track technical metrics that demonstrate product quality, performance, and scalability.
Ensure technical decisions are aligned with both educational outcomes and technical best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement of our development processes in collaboration with engineering leads.
Support technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the product development organization.
Guide technical implementation decisions that enable us to scale our VR nursing scenarios on the Unity platform.
Serve as a technical product expert for cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Work with the VP of Product and Principal Product Manager to communicate technical progress and challenges to stakeholders.
Competencies & Skills
5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on technical product management.
Business proficiency English communication skills.
Software engineering background or equivalent technical experience strongly preferred.
Experience with 3D/VR technologies and game engines (particularly Unity) is highly desirable.
Track record of successfully shipping technical products or features in collaboration with engineering teams.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, technical architecture, and engineering best practices.
Experience with technical backlog management, sprint planning, and agile development processes.
Ability to understand technical constraints and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated skill in breaking down complex product requirements into manageable technical components.
Experience with data-driven decision making and defining technical success metrics.
Understanding of the educational technology landscape, particularly in healthcare simulation, is a plus.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
