At Labster we care about democratizing education and empowering the next generation of scientists! In order to reach our mission of educating 100 million students by 2025, we need to make sure that our customers are getting the most out of their relationships with us. To achieve this we need a UX Researcher to join our High Performance Platform (HPP) team, where they will be focusing on how we utilize Games Design to deliver our Learning Experience. You will build an understanding of what our internal tool users need in order to deliver learning experiences that meet the needs of teachers and students.

You’ll report into the Product Design Lead and bounce ideas around with the other Designers and Researchers. We use our own Design Career Path to make sure that you have a compass that will direct you whilst you’re continuously growing. To top it off we host plenty of events to mix and mingle with the teams, usually in sunny locations!

What you’ll do.  

• Participate in research projects across Labster. 

• Support preparation of conducting interviews (i.e recruiting, screening, coordinating payment).

• Conducting customer and user research through interviews, observations and other research methods (i.e. usability/user tests/AB Testing).

• Synthesizing results and providing ongoing insights via summaries and UX Artifacts to wider stakeholders.

• Research customer and user personas to understand their needs, behaviors, and mental models.

• Run and assist others in running user testing (i.e. surveys, usability testing, tasks)

• Organize findings to share with team members that helps the product teams inform priority.

• Supporting early-stage validation of product value hypotheses with low-fidelity prototypes.

• You can translate your findings into UX Artifacts to be shared with senior leadership.

• You can provide suggestions based upon your insights that will improve the overall experience. 

• You’re passionate about the user with a growth mindset.

• Fully proficient in verbal and written English.

• ~3+ years on the job, we want you to be able to jump in and make an instant impact.
