Thinking about investing your development life cycles knowledge and your devops philosophy and best practices know-how into supporting teams to create remarkable products that inspire positive advancement within science education, globally? 

Then you might be our newest Senior Devops Engineer! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Reduce complexity, closing the gap between actions needed to quickly change an application, and the tasks that maintain its reliability. 
  • Keep services running in line with required SLAs, while championing our team’s security practices and objectives.
  • Introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Support and direct developers with running their apps locally, as well as staging and production.
  • Create, maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
  • Continuously improve platform monitoring and proactively advocate existing multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Refine and boost disaster recovery plans and protocols and identify and resolve gaps in our backups.
  • Collaborate with teams on system-related issues and DevOps/SRE topics
  • Champion software development and engineering best practices, such as: DRY, twelve-factor apps, KIS and IaC

  • Specific technical skills and tools are what you live for. Your knowledge expands across Linux, networking, containers, packaging, IaC, automation, Cloud and monitoring. Here’s just a few to whet your appetite: Debian, Ubuntu, Redhat, Alpine, IPv4, IPv6, Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Helm, Terraform, Vault, Ansible, Google Cloud, MS Azure, DataDog and Cloudwatch
