The Organization

We have replaced the conventional management hierarchy and organized ourselves using Holacracy.

Holacracy is a method of decentralized management and organizational governance, in which authority and decision-making are distributed throughout a holarchy of self-organizing teams rather than being vested in a management hierarchy. No more top-down management.

Position Overview

Labster is looking for an experienced technical recruiter to join the People Circle and partner closely with business partners to strategically source talent and ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment cycle. This person will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable candidates for the organization. The focus areas of recruitment will be in Eastern Europe and Bali. 

This position is remote with the option of Zurich or Copenhagen. This is a 1 year contract position with the opportunity for prolonging. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on technical recruiting needs and facilitate all phases of the recruitment process
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
  • Own the job posting and advertising process
  • Screen application and select qualified candidates
  • Schedule interviews, and oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Lead the interviewing process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and other key stakeholders
  • Lead the negotiation and offer process with the candidate
  • Draft employment contracts and assist in onboarding new team members

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills; especially within C#, Node.js, DevOps, Ci/CD, Unity, Python, UX/UI, and frontend and backend development in general
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, also in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulation
  • Proficient with G-suite or related software
  • You’re a go-getter; making things magically happen!


  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical and/or human resources field required
  • At least three years of related recruiting experience required, with prior experience in technical roles
  • A strong track record of positive recruiting experiences and outcomes for all parties
  • A strong work ethic and aptitude & willingness to learn the nuances of the roles and business functions you’ll recruit for
