Job Summary: 

This is a unique opportunity for you to transform the EdTech landscape and positively impact millions of students. Labster is looking for a Director of our Product Management. You will lead and grow an outstanding team of product managers, product marketers and product owners while helping in-still agile product management best practice. You will provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing with a collaborative and empowering servant leadership style.

Your work will lay the foundation on which the organisation will deliver scalable products for years to come across multiple global markets. You'll be ensuring the commercial success of our products, particularly our commercial product lines, and will directly contribute to Labster's mission to help millions of students globally. 

Our ideal candidate will have strong capabilities operating at scale and deep commercial accumen to support the team with business models, revenue sources, cost factors, financial forecasting and business goal setting.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, coach and mentor a world-class global all-star Product Management team
  • Be an expert agent of change and scalability with a drive for supporting individuals to transform their behaviors to an agile way of working. 
  • Support a team of product owners, product managers, product marketing managers and various others functions to identify solutions to problems as they arise and work to resolve roadblocks
  • Develop performance measures for roles within the PM/PO/PMM domain
  • Facilitate a customer/user-centric outcome-focussed product vision, strategy and roadmap that aligns with overall company goals
  • Enable efficient operations and execution of product strategy via good processes and communication
  • Ensuring  the product is devised, engineered, branded, and marketed all under one single vision through strong alignment and distributed decision making
  • Supporting product realization for new business streams
  • Create a shared 2-5 year vision for team growth
  • Develop good goal-setting, metrics for new and existing products or initiatives
  • Scaling the team as the business grows


The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years coaching and growing team members within the Product Management domain and related go-to-market functions, especially across different tech products (Web, mobile, Content authoring, platform tools)
  • Experience taking products global and growing market share globally a plus
  • Experience working with teams working on platform products a plus
  • Experience continuously developing high-performance team members
  • Applied knowledge of various business models and product metrics
  • Experience setting up professional development pathways for a variety of roles within product management
  • Experience collaborating with large development teams to ensure efficient product delivery
  • Experience creating a scalable organizational structure
  • Understanding of a variety of Product or Engineering team set-ups (like Squads/Chapters) and ability to adapt best approaches for our teams
  • Experience coaching and aligning product strategy across many product managers and product lines
  • Experience working with OKRs a plus
