The organization

We have replaced the conventional management hierarchy and organized ourselves using Holacracy.

Holacracy is a method of decentralized management and organizational governance, in which authority and decision-making are distributed throughout a holarchy of self-organizing teams rather than being vested in a management hierarchy. No more top-down management.

Description of the department

Our sales team’s purpose is to drive profitable high growth direct sales activities and outstanding customer service through direct engagement of Labster's customers and prospective customers. Globally, we have over 40 sales team members.  We are looking for an enterprise representative to help Labster build up new enterprise offerings for system-wide HigherEd and K-12 deals.  This experienced enterprise representative will work with both HigherEd systems and K-12 districts to expand our presence in system-wide contracts. 

This position is located in Somerville, MA and it is preferred that the person comes on-sight to work cross-functionally with the Sales Team.  This position will sit on our K-12 team and help build up our enterprise offerings. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Meet and exceed sales quota and all activity goals set by the Lead Link
  • Grow territory of new business and build a strong pipeline of new, qualified prospects specifically in HigherEd and K-12 districts throughout the US by continually following up with and monitoring passed leads, to ensure a consistent customer experience and maintain momentum 
  • Cold-call and email into targeted accounts, utilize lists or personally researched contacts within a specified region/market to uncover and qualify prospects 
  • Navigate and close multi-year SaaS-based deals over $250k per year
  • Work with a sense of urgency, ensures timely and appropriate follow-up for all sales-related activities.
  • Build and maintain positive work relationships with prospects to create a rapport that facilitates patronage and generates revenue
  • Partner with marketing teams to provide US knowledge to assist in their targeting efforts
  • Partner with marketing to identify high value events within the US to grow the business


  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales or related field 
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or another related field 
  • Experience working in a rapidly changing, semi-structured startup environment 
  • Experience working with HigherEd System-wide deals or similar experience level is a big plus 
  • Previously held annual quota of >$1 million
  • Customer Focus: experience and desire to proactively help and serve internal and external customers meet their needs. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, allocate and track time across a large set of targets
  • Technology-savvy with high proficiency in using CRMs (Salesforce.com), MS Word, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and other tools as needed
